The game follows the events of Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, and also features additional missions and characters. Sometimes the player is forced to control more than one character at once during a battle and has to split their focus which can be dangerous if the player does not master that skill. Some missions have little mini-puzzles that need to be solved in order to accomplish the bigger mission.

The battle ends with Will killing Davy Jones and remaining behind as Jack returns to the Black Pearl. On the Pearl, you have to defend the ship against theEndeavour and Lord Cutler Beckett until the Dutchman returns under Will's command and destroys the Endeavour, killing Beckett. After the battle Barbossa has another mutiny against Jack. Jack later runs into Black Bart along with Scarlett and Giselle
